10 Essential Tips For Losing Weight

Don't skip breakfast. This is the most important tip. If you do you will fill up on snacks later on.

Preferably eat oats and wholewheat rather than sugar coated cereals.

Don't eat anything for at least an hour before going to bed.

Weight Loss Tip 3

Don't snack while watching TV. If you want to treat yourself enjoy it, rather than being distracted by the TV.

Weight Loss Tip 4

Substitute sugary snacks for fruit, like apples, oranges, bananas or nuts or oat biscuits.

Weight Loss Tip 5

Treat all foods as equal. Don't treat snack as 'bad' food and don't treat vegetables as 'good' food. This way you will have a better relationship with food and won't feel guilty when you do snack.

Weight Loss Tip 6

Eat more vegetables. 5- a- day is your goal.

Weight Loss Tip 7

Cut down high calorie spreads, butter and dressings. Use low fat mayonnaise, use half fat butter (or even better polyunsaturated spreads). Use olive oil in your cooking instead or lard or butter.

Exercise as regularly as you can - preferably 30 mins 3 or 4 times a week.

Weight Loss Tip 9

Only eat when you are hungry. When you go for the fridge or the biscuit tin ask yourself 'AM I HUNGRY?' If you are eat it - if your not walk away.

Weight Loss Tip 10

Only eat 1 snack at a time. Take one biscuit from the cupboard for example, sit down and eat it. If you are hungry go back and take 1 more biscuit.. Don't take 5 biscuits from the cupboard at once and devour them !
